About Us
What a funny name for a company?!! It started when I knew I couldn't afford much for Christmas, being the Mum of 3 highly testostorone young men, I came up with my first idea. This set me thinking. When things go wrong in a persons life, some people shout, some go into a shell, I have always found solace in being able to write down my thoughts. At the heart of this company is the tenet that only you can be true to yourself, no one else makes your mistakes so no one else can make amends. Sometimes we make informed decisions but mostly we react impulsively and instinctively from past experience Hence Betty. Fortunately a dear friend felt the same and we now hope to share some of these thoughts with you and others. Some may say the sayings we have printed may seem cliched and old hat, but we hope they will make people think and laugh at those more amusing. Although we want this company to be a success,we also want to put back into society, so aim to donate 1% initially of the profits to a charity or charities which will be decided by you who visit us. So we kindly ask you to complete a survey so that a majority decision will prevail. Oh and the Up urs part? It's to all those who deserted me when I needed help and thought I would never amount to anything! The logo we designed to show that Up Urs also means overcoming adverstiy - victory hence the way the hand is shown, also so as not to cause offense! The heart beneath shows that it's a living and giving idea.
